Stumble Backward November 2nd, 2009 Shamble Forward

Hey everybody!

Intercon J signups are almost upon us -- 1st game signup is on November 4th (the day after tomorrow) at 7pm.

If you don't have much experience LARPing, this is a great place to start. I will be running two games: [info]arachne8x and I will be running Tonight at 8, our romantic comedy hijinks LARP, on Friday night. On Saturday afternoon, I'll be running Life at the Securemarket, the LARP loosely based on the novel Tales from the Securemarket, which ... I also wrote. Also, this is not a boast, it is sound, fact-based advice: If you want to play in them, sign up early for my games. They fill up really fast.

Honestly, Life@'s slot is fantastic. I don't recognize any of the names I'm across from, which I suspect means that a lot of the people who'll really want to play in Life@ will have no other game tempting them away. :3

Not to be too specific, but I know what MY first signup will be, [info]hazliya. This reminds me... um, would somebody be willing to sign in and sign up for me on Wednesday? I won't be able to get near a computer until 9pm, and I don't want to risk hitting a full game.

So, all that aside, I have some Requests Concerning Life@.

I am going to need a Floor GM and possibly an AGM too. I'm running a 25-person game and I cannot do it by myself. Helpful skills are, in order of importance:
Previous experience as a LARP GM or AGM.
Patience and a cool head.
Getting and holding the attention of multiple people.
Interest in and/or knowledge of the Age of Corporations / Tales from the Securemarket.

My primary floor GM will also be helping edit my game (low commitment, I promise. You'll just be looking for inconsistencies and typos). The floor GM will be comped, meaning s/he won't pay for intercon reg.

The AGM will get mad props and maybe a batch of cookies, but will also have a pretty easy job mainly consisting of setup/strike coordination and simple arbitrations.

Comment here if you're interested! :D

Also? Save your Empties for Life@.

When you're done with a cereal box? Collapse it flat, but leave it otherwise intact. When you finish a box of pasta? Do the same. Canned goods? Wash them and keep them. Soda bottles, same.

Basically, I am going to be building a small supermarket and I need all of the CLEAN empties I can get.

Also, if you have a lot of light collapsible shelving, please let me know.
